Yes definitely the bonnet switch as said, unplug it till you buy a new one, 5 minute job, its located at in the middle, at the hinge end of the bonnet

X3 done mine and left unplugged, no probs,after with alarm.
 
+4 for the bonnet switch. Mine started playing up during the last period of hot weather. From memory about £30 for the switch, two minute job to fit.
