This just happened this morning. Unlocked the car to go to work and the alarm went off but none of the indicator lights were flashing. Thought it was the car next to mine so after it eventually stopped, got in to drive away and it went off again, even whilst I was driving. No warning lights were on.
I immediately turned the car around and parked it back up - alarm still going. Got out, locked the car and it stopped. Unlocked the car and it started again.
The bonnet sensor has always been disconnected since I've had the car so it can't be that. It has never done this before and I can't really drive it as a result.
Does anyone have any clue what might have happened before I call BMW? Electrical fault? Battery issue? I'm going away for 2 weeks as of tomorrow evening (sod's law) so might not be able to get it fixed until I'm back.
