Morning all,

My alarm.has been going off more frequently - usually after 1 min of locking the car but not always. After reading on this site I disconnected the bonnet sensor and finally got a good night sleep. Taken the sensor off - if there any way of testing or cleaning the sensor? Looking to replace but seem to be plenty used but no new ones? Anyone replaced with used? Or new? What the prices been like? Thanks in advance

Best to replace with a new one. I had the same experience, cleaned the contacts etc. but didn't fix it. I bought a bmw one just to be sure. Not too expensive.

Out of interest where exactly is the bonnet sensore. My alarm goes off every once in a while, for no apparent reasons. Usually on a warm day. Never during the winter months. :?

Cheers folks - will have a look online e and see what can be delivered- used looks to be £10 with a new one approx £30 by the looks of it.
