Aircon- advice and INPA

Hi all

Still struggling with aircon temperature

So far- it’s been regassed, I’ve checked the clutch spinning: it does when switched on and not when off

I’m going to connect INPA etc tomorrow- can anyone give me tips of what to look for/check?

Right scanned it with inpa today

Anyone spot anything bleeding obvious?

The auc error I’m guessing won’t affect the aircon?

Only error I can see is those sandals mate !!!!
Just thankful you had your legs crossed tbh.

No fan spin up on start of car

No codes showing as errors

I’m able to run the fan from inpa at the set percentages
 
Does the rad fan come on when the car gets hot? I think the AC won’t work if the fan won’t work if that makes sense.

Yeah I think it does- I will check the green wire tomorrow
 
Hi all

Going to have another crack at this tomorrow

Got multimeter ready to start to check voltages across compressor, dryer and relay

Any other pointers for me to look at- will fire up inpa again

My fan spins up immediately on a cold engine if I select the AC on (facelift car).

I’ll deffo do some checks on that area today- both my pre facelifts haven’t done that- and aircon on last car was good

I know you're not exactly a novice, so feel free to disregard this but.........
Are you 100% sure the system is properly re-gassed? Not leaking straight back out again?

Deffo going to check that today

When it got regassed they recovered a good amount so I think there is pressure

All to check!

Thanks though- always good to ask right?
 
So here is where I’m up to

Can find electrical power at the compressor, the dryer etc

Have lubricated the clutch

Checked fuses

The only thing I’m not getting a happy clean feeling with is the relay

I’m not getting a clear click from the relay area when switching on off

Could this be a relay issue on relay 5 under the fuses?

Thoughts?
 
Hi, off topic, but which INPA menus are the screen shots from? Almost everything seems to be in German on mine for the E85.

From inpa

I found the engine menu all to be untranslated but other modules to be English?
