Airbox Mapping

Is everyone still running Alpha N on their airboxes? Can anyone recommend a tuner? I don't mind travelling for the right place

Looking at going the airbox route in the new year so just making plans

Evolve will also map for an airbox, as well as PSDesigns. I do not have experience with either of them in the mapping department, but in terms of answering questions about my existing evolve map, I've found Evolve to be very good. PSDesigns also were very good in terms of customer service when I ordered an RTD Shifter kit from them...

Yep. Randy at Epic will set you right.
Read good reviews, wasn't sure it would be a good over the air map though compared to on the rollers?

Are you running an airbox with evolve map then? Did they ever sort the heel n toe issue?

Will look into PSD, cheers

I'm not running an airbox (yet - perhaps in the not too distant future) and didn't realise they had an issue with heel and toe - if it's not sorted that's ruled that out completely, it's one of the many joys of driving the M!

PS Designs also do velocity stacks too if you want maximum noise

Heal and toe was sorted by reverse engineering epics tune. (That's hear-say, but probably true as they left customers in a s**t fight for over a year, which is why I'll never support any product by evolve! Sorry)

There are lots of other tunes out there if your going to do a rolling road. Epic also support over the air rolling road. Best of chatting to Randy.

Didn't know that, bit naughty! I'll give Randy a shout then, I'm happy with loading a tune, driving to the rollers and tweaking

hey , also give Pokey a shout, top notch bloke and knows his stuff.
Josh at Severn Tuning.

http://www.severntuning.com/

He's got my new tune in hands and for anything custom or stock, i wouldent go anywhere else these days. Randy is great for a stock tune, but Josh is that next level. Helps also that hes been an avid supporter of the Z4 community for a long long time so it pays to support him.

Top bloke.

Vanne - does Severn Tuning do flash tunes via an OBD dongle (as per Epic, Evolve, etc)? Their website only shows standalone and piggyback ECUs, unless I’m missing something (on my phone).

Great; thanks, Vanne.

I’m looking into tunes for the Supersprint V1 headers and catted section 1 that are on their way, so it’s good to have another option. I would also prefer to use the same tuner in the future, should I decide to go down the cf Airbox route and trying to ‘future proof’ decisions now.
