Further to my post on Cornwall, has anyone here used this website, and if so are there any pitfalls that I need to look out for?

All looks pretty slick on the website.

I have used it with some friends when we went on a road trip to France and it seemed very good. :)

Used it a few times. If you stick to places with good feedback you shouldn't have any problems.

It favours tenants a lot. If you have a room or property to rent out, then you need to be a bit more careful, but even then, its an economical way to reach a large audience and get a good rate for your rooms.

Used it once for a weekend cottage with friends. All worked well - owner communication was very good - he warned us the carnival was in the village & offered to cancel the booking if we didn't want to go. We went and his description of the carnival impact was spot on. Like I say, only 1 experience so far, but would certainly give it another go.

We went to Majorca in November for a week. We rented an apartment. It was just as described. As others have said just make sure the feedback is good and also Street View the place if you can. Pay through airbnb, if you want to return you can always go direct once you know and trust the owner and save a little.
