Airbag System & Belt Tensioner Tell-tale Light

I removed my drivers side seat recently to do some upholstery repairs. I correctly removed the plug under the seat. The seat was repaired and I have now refitted the seat and the associated plug under the seat. The seat moves correctly but the Airbag System & Belt Tensioner Tell-tale Light on the dash stays illuminated!!
I have since removed the seat again and checked the wiring to the Belt Tensioner system - all Ok.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this Tell-tale light stays illuminated - does the computer or anything have to be reset????? Help!!!
 
If you don't disconnect the battery and leave it for approx 20 mins before disconnecting the yellow plug under the seat it will throw up warning light on dash, you need someone to clear the error via INPA or DIS software, failing that take it to BMW who will charge you to do it.
 
Thanks for the responses - you've helped me a lot.
INPA or DIS software - What is this - is this something that's readily available to load on a Laptop for the average person to use?
Is there anything else available to check the Error Codes and reset these lights etc?
Is the cost prohibitive and therefore just easier to go to a BMW dealer to get these things reset?
