Airbag reset tool

Tripped my airbag light yesterday and need to reset it. (Don't ask, but my own error)

What's the current recommendation on a small hand held device to do it? Load son eBay but would rather get something known to work on the Zed

Not Looking for more complex solutions that require cables and a laptop as I have one already that does most things except reset airbag

Thanks in advance

ask a friendly AA man as he should be able to do it

stuart

Thanks Stuart, but don't know any of those

Given it's certain I'll trip it again then I'd like to get something for the future too

Slightly off topic, but will any airbag lights trip removing the driver seat and reconnecting the battery to close the roof?

I have the srs ebay reset tool worked great to find my e46 airbag fault and recently found it also works for the z4 £15 ish .

I have a full version of Carly, guess you are not passing me any time soon to test it out on the E85?

That sounds perfect - Can I confirm this is the one:
( I can see them cheaper but long wait to ship from China, etc.)

PVR - sadly no plans for your area in the immediate future. Shame as I passed by 10 days ago from Gatwick

Thanks - I've ordered one anyway as it's only £14 and guaranteed, so will see what turns up and if it works

Plan A wait for post and try reset
Plan B 60 mile return trip
Plan C 300 mile return trip
Reluctantly so..

Done my VAT return and it's as exciting as watching paint dry :(

Bit of an update:
Progress on fixing this was not surprisingly delayed with the passing of my father.

I bit the bullet and purchased the silver cable from http://www.bwcables.com and have to say very impressed. Not only the cable which works out of the box with USB and straight to Win 10, rather than faffing with VMware or an old serial connector to XP laptop, etc., but came with INPA, NCS Expert, NCS Dummies and other tools such as sat nav editor and TIS (all model BMW manual)

Oh and the real issue. 15 mins. to load the software. 30 mins. faff while I understood what I was doing finding which module had the fault and airbag light reset = result

Edit - the ebay site I purchased through

My condolences. :(

Thanks, you've convinced me to upgrade. I had the old software which worked fine but was a ball ache to install. I couldn't be bothered to install it on my new laptop but have now ordered just the updated software.
