Airbag light won't turn off

I recently took my doors apart, and replaced the shells with some new ones from another z4, however I kept all of the same internal components from my car and just swapped em all out, including my old airbag unit. However upon reassembling everything, the airbag light on my dash won't turn off! Quite an eye sore. Perhaps I need to reset something?

Maybe you didn’t disconnect the battery when swapping out components and tripped the light.
Have you tried resetting the airbag with an OBDII code reset tool? If not then that would be my first port of call.

Airbag lights are very persistent without the right tools to turn off

Find someone with a creator obd or inpa/ista tools near you

Really need to put a code reader on it to see what code(s) have been set, that should indicate where the problem is. Until whatever has triggered the light is fixed the light will not reset. Have had good airbag results using a Creator 310+ code reader, circa £60 on ebay at the moment.
