Airbag light coming on and off at random times, the is no pattern sometimes it does not come on at all until the following day
I have a E86 z4 2006. I need to help in finding someone who knows what this problem is?

I have used a ANCEL BM500 to scan the codes and found these

2E83 Electric coolant pump power reduced operation
93FB from DSC, ACSM receiver / MRS5 DSC transmitter

I was told it was probably a problem with ABS system or the power steeling system from a BMW specialist.
I would like to know if anyone else has had this problem?

Seems strange you havn't got any specific airbag codes, not at all sure the codes you do have relate to bringing on the airbag light.
I would question the validity of your scanner results, not aware of the model you are using, is it a generic scanner for multiple makes of car?
I would scan with a known BMW scanner such as BMW INPA, BMW Scanner 1.4 on a laptop or a handheld Creator 310+ which I have used for airbag fault tracing on my Z4 E85.
Until you get a valid airbag code its just guesswork as to what is going on. I would hazard a guess that its probably being caused by a loose connection under one of the seats which is the usual cause. Disconnect the battery then lift the seats to get at the connections, check for clean contacts and tight connections, use electrical contact cleaner spray to clean the plugs and sockets and ensure they are all tight connections. Once they are all plugged in reconnect tha battery. With a good known code reader clear any airbag codes that come up before starting the car. Once cleared cycle the ignition key off and then start the car and see if that stops the light appearing.

Just googled your scanner so its BMW and Mini specific and lists SRS module as being capable of being scanned so bit of a mystery why its not picking any airbag codes up, it should do if the light appears. Are you sure you are scanning the airbag module its usually in the SRS menue on these handheld scanners in the Body menu.

Random thought: it's not only when you have something heavy on the passenger seat is it? Just wondering if it's to do with the occupancy sensor?
