Airbag light came on during drive

Hi,

Did 200 miles when I picked up my new car yesterday and all was well. However, out for a drive today and the airbag came on. Any ideas why that might be?

How can I get it turned off?

Passenger occupancy mat is a common fault, but there's been other issues as well. There should be a code stored identifying the error. You need special BMW software to read the code and clear the error. Software & cable can be bought online, but it is far from plug and play. Indy specialists and dealers have the software.
