Z4 e85 3.0 auto. Airbag lamp on. Using pa soft BMW scanner faults for airbag lamp in instrument cluster and under voltage on srs page. Codes will clear but come back straight away and airbag lamp never goes out. Extra info light came on during a short drive, battery is fine and 3 years old. I've taken the seats out and carpets up water is getting in through the front bulkhead somewhere so need to sort that. The airbag module by the rear passenger seat area (not the one under the seat) was in a plastic bag but appeared dry but obviously a problem in the past and the one at the rear of the transmission tunnel has been wet at some point but is dry now. At the moment I'm just cleaning connections. Anything I should be doing, would a different scanner be more useful ista inpa whatever they're called! etc? Thanks for reading.

carpet wet under seats and module in plastic bag looks like roof drain holes have been blocked, this then fills up and pours into cabin back right or left and module gets wet. I know as i have had that issue, carpets were soaking. centre module is only wet if roof has been left open and its rained on it.
need to dry everywhere out first and clean all contacts, then use DIS or ISTA to clear the fault code.
