Airbag ECU

Hello, I am in the process of flashing a used airbag module. I have flashed it with the latest number listed on winkfp for sim85. However I now have an incorrect chassis number error.
The highlighted item is the assembly number for the module and the other pic is the assembly number options

When you set the job up ready to program, did you enter the vin from your car as well as the module number you’ve shown above?

Yes, I entered the vin as well.
When I look at inpa I don’t see a vin number associated with any of the air bag modules but I may not be looking close enough.

Top code is system time. That would be the last step to clear that if everything else worked.

Middle one is wrong VIN

Last one is something about implausible communication, which could be your fault.

I have sometimes found that if I select the wrong part number it then goes away and finds the correct one by itself. Try selecting 5147 and see what it does then.

It errored it with 5147, so I chose update ecu and it picked 695146. I loaded with the full vin number. When to inpa and reset all faults except for the time fault. Ran expert to read and write module to set to default. Now Ran tool 32 to read then start time with a value of 1. This errored out as well. ECU conditions not correct. Cycled power on the car and both incorrect chassis and time error exist.

That’s odd. There are no failures of the module showing. Just wrong vin and system time.
To me this points to a coding failure somewhere. Either doing something wrong or a software problem

I am following TomR’s guide to process and I see others posts on the forum having the same issue with no clear answer.

So it won’t take the actual vin plus the checksum number, too many characters.
Question do I enter the vin as listed on the dash or the vin number listed on inpa?

Are you using the VIN displayed on NCSE to code the airbag module?
