Air mass sensor help

Guys, can you help with this one...Not 100% sure what i'm supposed to be measuring. Have been asked:

"Can you measure external diameter of the rear of the air mass sensor." (It's releated to a carbon intake system)

Just got the vernier on the case and the OD of the rear of the air mass sensor is 94mm. The 94mm is the flat surface the hose connects to, there is a small flange on it though to get over.
To confirm this is the surface which the hose from the air filter to the intake manifold connects to (or what the hose would connect to if the airbox was replaced)

Now, when can we have our intakes! :driving:
 
ali if it helps on wednesday ill actually have my sensor off the car as my supercharger deletes the MAF, so maybe i can send it to to borrow for research of somethink, but maybe it'll be too long for you to wait but the offers their.
 
graham has come back with the following. Didn't know it was different to the E46??? :S Can anyone help?!

OK so 94mm OD.

E46 M3 90 mm.
 
Just had another quick check and I have a slight revision to report in that it does not seem to be perfectly round on mine, so an average of measurements seems to make it closer to 95, but it's certainly not 90 as the M3.
