Air Filter

Had my car for about 6 weeks now and thought I'd change the air filter.
God it was black, it was a oem with a date on it of 24/4/4 surely this wasn't the only one it's had in it's 10 years of running and 76k miles :?

Unless someone is having a laugh and replaced a 10 year old filter it would appear so! :o

Any service history?

Hello and welcome ?? am not a newbie lol

Car came with part history, but looks like it's had good money spent on it with things like new front disc/pads and the like of Bridgestone runflats :?

Then I'm amazed that the air-filter appears not to have been changed :o

Car runs and sounds as sweet as anything though :thumbsup:

But I bet it's breathing better now :D
 
It would be a production date. Defiantly not an instal date. I wouldn't worry to much I doubt it's been in their ten years. And it's not like you can do much if it has. It's got a clean one now maybe consider changing the oil plugs and giving it a service. Just so you know it's all ok now :thumbsup:

Yes I've asked my mate that has his own service garage to book me in to do the oil/filter and plugs and to genrelly give it a good going over.

And sorry, no tips for her but a new custom stainless backbox in a couple of months :)

But I will be getting a choice of tips when they do my backbox :P

If I was leaving my oem box then yes I would have some MM tips :)
