Air filter housing clips....

Morning all.....

Odd question for such a small part, but anyone know where I might get a new clip for the air filter housing?
One of mine pinged off while I was changing my filter.... can’t find where it went so looking to source a new one.
Ive seen them listed for 3.5 cars but for my humble 2.0, they don’t seem to be listed as an individual part!

Once again, thanks in advance for any help!
 
If it’s any consolation one of mine pinged off as well, I found it lurking on the undertray after removing the airbox & using a magnet on an extending stick :oops:

You’d have thought they would use the same clip purely to save money. Perhaps someone with a 35 could take a snap for you to get a better idea?

How much are they? I’d be tempted to chance it.

Not sure on bmw’s but I put a new air filter in my old Vauxhall Astra J and it came with new clips.
 
Yes, I think its on the undertray somewhere, but can see any sign of it.
Have driven a few miles since so it could be long gone.

Its incredible that as its a part that isnt attached to the housing, it cant be ordered as a seperate part!
I will measure it and then maybe a 35 owner could compare, then I could order one for that!

Bringing up this old thread as I have lost one of the clips when replacing the air filter on my N20 :cry:

Removed air box and just could not see it anywhere, have tried a few ebay shops but so far none have had the right ones, the clip that's gone is the one on the very right when facing the airbox, its still a tight fit as put in a JR panel filter but would like to replace the clip still.

Anyone had any luck with finding these before ?
 
Scrapyard, pretty much any BMW is going to be similar. Just go for a browse and pull one off.
Iused to get my halogen lamps like this in my early years, take a bag and walk round taking them out of scrap cars :thumbsup:
