Air con, heater, heated seats not working

Evening.

Sorry first post on the forum, Hoping someone can advise.
I have a 2009 2.3 (2.5L) steel roof, haven't driven it for a week. Fired up first time but as the windows were frozen I went to put on the heating but it doesn't work. No LEDs, air on, heating, also the heated seats don't work, again no LED illumination.
Have read about Transport Mode but that seems to occur with a flat battery. Is there one main fuse or relay controlling the heating system?
All help appreciated.

Steve

My choice if not poor battery condition is fuses. They are found in the passenger footwell with a fuse map. They're a pig to access and it's best to read the manual if you give it a go. Or failing that take it to a garage.

Fixed!

Fuse 77, 10A stops all heating, aircon, heated seats, demists and heating system LEDs from working.

 Thanks for posting a result! Always helpful if someone is using search in the future.

Obviously not the cause in this instance but the same fuse blew for me when changing an interior light bulb (the light was off at the time, not entirely sure how it shorted - I was installing an error free LED bulb, perhaps the cause, replaced with original in the end).

That was a nice fix in the end thanks for the end result may help others out in future

Hope it's help to someone.

Don't know the reason however did have the car cleaned inside last time I drove it. Could have been polish ingression or Mr Switchy was doing the clean :D

Or they plugged their hoover into your 12v socket & it blew the fuse :x

Funny that rob sometimes I pick odd Vw transporter up for my mate and he insists I always carry spare fuse for cigarette lighter for my sat nav

Hello all, after installing the new Android unit in my 2009 Z4 2.0 i, the aircon, heated seats and roof stopped working.
Or, to put it shortly, both clusters of switches for climate and the seats with roof stopped working. I thought it was the fuse 77 as described in this post but after replacing it, it still doesnt work. Any ideas, like which other fuse to replace?
Thanks in advance. My car is now with the roof down and its winter time, it's in the buidlings garage so its partially safe but needs to be fixed to be parked and used normally.

But why did it blow in the first place?

OP says windows were frozen, so I’m guessing he tried to lower them and overloaded the motors.

You’ll have to work your way through this..

Those are the power circuits...but sounds like you disconnected some canbus wiring / knackered it to wipe out several systems..

Thank you for the reply. I managed to get it working simply by uninstalling everything and installing it back again. Seems that some of the cables were not attached properly although they were connected.

Its always strange how these systems don't work when they are not plugged in...

speaking of such I have an oddly vague question. So, before purchasing my car, it sat under a tree, and animals nested behind the button panel for the heated seats. Subsequently, they dont work. Specifically, when I press the button the lights turn on and the car recognizes that I am pressing the button but they turn off immidiately and dont work. where would i specifically check for chewed or unplugged wires in that case? i have taken out said panel and all the wires seem to be plugged in and in tact, but still no heated seats. Any Help would be greatly appreciated!
