AIR BAG Warning

My air bag warning light did not black out as it usually does... I did get a parking scratch in the front a while ago.. is there any airbag- sensors or anything in the front that may have been damaged?
 
Yes. I was multi-tasking when pulling out of the parking lot and stalled the car :oops: This sudden stop caused the airbag light to turn on (no airbag deployment at 1 mph). It then stayed on. They found it to be defective. But I still had to pay the $50 deductible as my car is out of the original warranty and now into the extended one.
 
Since my accident, (rearended by an 18 wheeler MAC) the bodydhop said they had to take the car to BMW dealer to have the airbag light turned off. What the HE**, the airbag never came out. Which I think it should have after being hit 4 times in the rear.
 
mine came on for no reason.... i put elec tape over the bulb behind the cluster and forget about it until something major goes wrong then i got in with my extended warranty and fix it together :)
 
Mine came on driving down a country lane for no apparent reason.
Took it to the garage I bought it from but their computer couldn't find the Air Bag to re-set it.
It could however find the Engine Management System which is strange.
 
Not strange at all. Engine management is OBD compliant which is universal among cars. Things like air bags, accessories and other computer controlled items are unique for each manufacturer and often proprietary.
