Air bag light on after window regulator swap

Well just finished putting a new window regulator in. I made the mistake of not connecting the module. Now my air bag light is on. Question is will Carly turn the light off if I find someone with it ? Maybe some way I can do it without anything ? Or do I need to go to the dealer ?

You can try carly but although it says it will clear the fault sometimes it doesnt. Where in the country are you? Oh and welcome.

Nc? Would that be in the USA? Bit far for you to travel. But Welcome from across the pond. Pics of your zed would be good

The same happened to me when I fitted a new regulator. Even 'though I disconnected the battery before disconnecting the airbag, and I reconnected the airbag before the battery.
I used INPA to extinguish the airbag light.

Here is a picture of her. I made a post on a local Bmw Facebook page maybe someone on it has the ability. All else fails I will have to go to the dealer.

Had the car scanned today. Here is the list of codes. All went away minus the two outlined. Any ideas ?

I Think you'll need to use a K+D Can cable and use ISTA (Rheingold) to clear the airbag fault. When I took my seats out I tripped the airbag light too - Carly and other similar OBD code fault clearers wouldn't clear it... I had to use ISTA which cleared it straight away

Hmmm okay. I took it to a Indy shop and the guy cleared it but said the light came right back on. But maybe he didn’t know what he was doing

That happened to me when I tried to use a "normal" OBD program such as Carly to clear the fault. It instantly came back on. Get yourself a K+D Can cable (they're about £15 in the UK, not sure of a US price) and then you can locate Rheingold aka ISTA with some google-fu
