Hi all,
As you are probably aware, the air ambulance is a charity and works off donations to operate each year. One of their main costs is the fuel which has 5% VAT on.
Air ambulances are not exempt from the VAT on the fuel they use, a strange anomaly compared with the RNLI who have been for many years.
There's an e-petition here, if anyone would like to sign up. Aim is for 100k signatures so the issue can be debated in the commons.
I appreciate for many it seems something you will never need, but you never know when you have a nasty accident out driving one day. Plus it costs you nothing and will save most air ambulances a fortune each year.
Thanks
