AHHHH Stone chip tips?

So driving home minding my own business, car in front is an XK with some twunt of a driver. Boots it off a roundabout so badly hes gets into the gutter on a road wide enough for 3 buses, proceeds to shower my car in stones and alas I get hit with what I can only describe as a meteor:

Hows the halfords set these days? Any recommendations?

Wow. I wish that was the only chip damage on my car! The front of the bonnet on the old girl is looking rather peppered these days, and that's on white which doesn't show it as badly!

You can get some good results if you spend some time with a paint chip repair kit and a chopstick, layering up the paint, then laquer, leaving to dry and then polishing down. I had a BMW paint repair stick that didn't cost very much and matched up fine, although white is easier than silver...

Might be worth going to a ChipsAway type guy, depending on how particular you are with stuff like this.

Also have a look on Detailing World for more tips on things like this. This thread isn't bad...
