Today was not a good day, unfortunately :( More bad luck!

Doing 25ish coming up to a 20mph zone (straight road) and an old boy (89) reversed straight out into my front end. I didn’t even have time to brake. I came across the road and was stopped by a bush. He spun 180 degrees. 2 dash cams picked it up and 3/4 witnesses so should be fairly easy to sort out insurance etc.

So, my wee motor is gone for good :( probably better this way as I couldn’t stick seeing someone else driving about in it  A9C8A5B9-C830-4BC5-BDD2-1E5A060FCF35.png 2D937ADB-95EE-4685-9162-F01728922918.pngB77DFD0B-405F-4361-A8BB-91F564A7B737.png

I’m home from the hospital nothing fractured etc, few good bruises and pains in my sternum area but other than that opened the door and walked away

Might look a mess but other than the air bag the cabin is untouched

Good design right there

So sorry to read this. I hope you are not too injured and make a full recovery. The advantage of driving a modern classic is they will protect you more than an old MG, or similar.

We love our cars; I get very attached to mine when I put so much time and money into them, but at the end of the day they can be replaced with something similar although it is a pain having to look around.

Take it easy.

Mate I’m gutted for you I know how much you loved that car.

But it did its job and protected you so that’s the only positive…?

So sorry for you but glad you are still in one piece

Sad sight to see !! wow.

Glad you're ok at least... That's a big shunt ! ! I hope you can get access to it to take some if the parts off it such as the roof ?

Wow that looks like some serious damage for a 25mph collision but at least you're OK - hopefully it doesn't put you off getting back in the driving seat ASAP

That looks a big impact. I hope you feel as well in the morning. Muscle issues can come on later once you've calmed down.

Will you get the chance to get the roof off? That is worth a few quid.

I hope you offered a fair price for the car.

Still looks good even in its last moments.
Glad to hear you’re OK Jock. Interested to see what tickles your fancy next.

Wow, shame about your car which I’ve admired from distance but you are ok and that’s the main thing.
Just noticed ……..is it too early to ask for the Aeros ?

I feel sad seeing your car in that state Brian, you must be absolutely gutted.

Good to hear your car kept you safe though. I hope you don't feel too sore tomorrow.

Hopefully you can hang on to the hard top, aeros and maybe wheels.

That's terrible, horrible to see any zed like that, though relieved that you are okay

Sorry to hear about the accident. Main thing is that you and any passengers are OK. Car looked lovely, but can be replaced. Hope insurance goes smoothly, need any steer on this pm me, been in the industry a long time. Take it easy.

That is rotten luck OP, however you walked away from it, which is the main thing. Hopefully the things that made it unique/yours can be salvaged and applied to another Z4 (if you chose to go that route).

Wishing you a speedy recovery, and in the interim, rest up. As mentioned above, muscle pain can kick in a day or two afterwards.

Oh man that's sad to see Brian, glad you're ok!

If you need any help then send me a message.

What terrible luck Jock. As everyone else is saying. The main thing is that you are OK. I have seen your posts detailing what you have done to the car. You must be absolutely gutted. Hopefully you will have the energy and enthusiasm to do it again.

Sad sight right there
Glad you’re okay. Hopefully it’s not too bad in the morning. Always worse after a sleep IMO.

Hopefully sticking on the Zed scene?
