Aggressive offset wheels

Hi All, has anyone fitted any wheels either 19/20" with a super low offset ?

im reading the Z4 will work with a 15mm spacer on the rear and 12mm front with zero issues , making the effective rear size a 10x19 et25 and front a 9x19 et 20 , so im guessing a few more mm would be possible , how about a 10x19 et20 and 9x19 et 15 ?

I would really like to get the tyre and arch to have a closer but not intimate relationship ....

How low can you go ........?

The problem with pushing the boundaries as far as you can, is that you get to the point where a change of tire brand can make the difference between rubbing or not. A part worn tire on a wheel swap might be fine, but replacing with exactly the same ‘new’ tire introduces rubbing.

APEX post some recommended wheel sizes on their website for the G29, on the basis that they expect their wheels to be ‘tracked’ I’d suggest this is a sensible starting point (or possibly end point) if you want to drive the car hard on British B roads.

Yeah ive been down the tyre brand route before , just not with a z4 so was looking for a starting point or a no go point, but it seems they dont get modified that much compared to the other BMW models .
drivability is a must and most places I see with listings for a z4 seem pretty conservative and work out pretty much the same as the 12mm + 15m spacer route .
