AG Aqua Wax

I used to polish my previous car (a Focus Ebony) a couple of times a year with AG Super Resin Polish to keep it shiny but having now got the Zed and reading suggestions from you experts I am beginning to understand the difference between wax and polish and that I should be waxing the Zed in addition to polishing it!

Having surveyed the AG website I am wondering if anybody has had any experience of the Aqua Wax? If so how often do people use it? After polishing? Between polishing?

I am keen to keep the shiny, water beading look it currently has! (plus make washing easier!)

I personally have never rated any AG products other than the SRP (super resin polish), but I've only had limited exposure to that forum for cleaning geeks (aka Detailing World :D).

For a wax, I like:
- Chemical Guys XXX carnuaba wax (very shiny)
- Finish Kare 1000HP (slightly less shiny but more durable, good during winter or on vehicles you don't spend as much time on - i.e. the wife's car)

Had a bit of time this afternoon, so gave it a go - have to report very impressed, applied easily, buffed with some elbow grease and now looks very shiny! I am sure it isnt as good as a proper wax for those who are ultra dedicated but seems like a good compromise to me.

I usually AG SRP then AG High Definition wax

Cant fault it. although i dont have too much experience of 'high end' waxes.

might try something different when the pot runs out. certainly lasts, gives a very good shine and not too hard going on the old elbow polish front
 
When using AG SRP seal it with EGP gives a good gloss and lasts and with the EGP you can layer it get a nice finish and for that extra something top of with a Carnuaba Wax

Victoria Concours wax is my choice.
 
AG Aqua Wax is a great top up wax.

It refreshes the cars shine by adding a thin layer of wax - it's great because it's so easy to use. You can spray it on a wet car (after washing and before drying) and dry as normal.
 
I like the stuff alot. I tend to use it after I've wiped the car over with AG Quick Detailer, then a panel at a time spray de-ionised water on and on top of that AG Aqua Wax, then wipe off with one cloth and polish up with a fresh cloth. Result is very impresive considering it takes very little time. It is a short term job but when time is a premium it is worth it.
 
Aqua wax is a great product. Easy to apply, helps to dry out the car spotless with no water stains. The only issue is that two microfibre towels might get soaked but after extended use you will end up with a pile of them. You are not going to get High definition wax lustre, but you can use AW every time you wash the car.
 
I rate Aqua wax, it's easy to use for a top up after a wash. Turtle 'Wax it wet' is also very good. I try to keep full on polishing and waxing to a couple of times a year. The process almost inevitably creates swirls and scratches! all that rubbing and buffing :( so using the wet wax for top ups is a good idea.
