At least 9 out of 10 cars with aftermarket xenons are poorly fitted and blinding - really narks me. Idiots. I hate you.

[/rant]

Thankfully I've never seen a Z4 in this category :D

Are they getting banned by the MOT soon?

The problem lies with non projector lights (mainly). The older crap cars headlight system is basically a bulb that reflects against the entire mirrored headlight casing. If you look at a xenon (or a decent halogen) light then there is a glass sphere in front of the bulb called a projector, this is what focuses the beam.

On the bright side (no pun intended), the new MOT rules means all the people you are talking about will fail!

I hope so it's really annoying, if they're behind me I usually put my fog light on for a little revenge

A friend of mine fitted HID (xenon) lights to an E36 3 series. It was awful. So bright, and the bulbs looked so blue I wondered how they could be legal.

This is good news. When do the new rules come into effect?
