I am looking for a good handsfree solution and have been considering Grom and Parrot. But I am also not very impressed with the audio quality of the standard head unit so I am also considering replacing it with an aftermarket DAB radio. I have noticed quite a few feature handsfree bluetooth so I could potentially achieve both objectives with a single purchase.
Can anyone advise the quality of handsfree phones on aftermarket head units (voice and sound quality rather than features). The reason I ask is my daughter has an Alpine HU with bluetooth phone but the phone performance is nigh on useless, when calling her I hear more noises from the car than the conversation. By contrast my BMW Mini has factory bluetooth handsfree and numerous people have commented on how good the phone call quality is!
