Aftermarket headunit and amp replacement

Hey All,

Just want to know if there is a straight swap DSP amp that will power all 10 speakers. Will be replacing the headunit also?

Reason below (seperate post for electrical issue, main question here is aftermarket replacement possible)

Long story short I spilled something in my boot over the DSP amp and battery.

After weeks of fault finding I know the Amp and radio are causing the draining problem.

I now think the only way to fix the issue is to swap the DSP amp and headunit as its cheaper than £780 for a new DSP amp from BMW.

Have a look at the thread below , not mine but it should give you answers you need

Have a read of this could sort your amp issue, if you could try your head unit In A car with working amp an it works, then you'd only need to replace the amp

The annoying thing is that the AMP still works.

Everything works fine. it just keeps draining. Plus its not a thing you can easily monitor as the battery drains over a space of 2-3 days

I took the amp out and it drains
I was told to put it back in as the headunit looking for the amp would cause the battery to drain.
Tried replacing the battery
Carefully took the amp apart to dry out and clean connections.
Running out of ideas really . . . very frustrating issue
