Picked up a 2008 Z4si a few weeks ago. Was down to the Boxster or Z4. In the end I couldn't stomach living the potential random engine failure that plagues the pre-2009 Boxsters. Also found the Z4 to be more fun to drive around town, and better looking. The Boxster may rule (just) on the track, but daily fun is way more important to me.

Anyway. The previous owner appears to have been a pirate with really large buttons or buckles on their coat sleeves. The brush aluminum bezel around the lower consul is pretty badly marked. Any ideas where I can get an after market replacement bezel? I have seen a few stick-on kits that might work. Haven't been able to find any parts on line. Any thoughts?
 
I think it can be easy to catch it with the seatbelt sometimes. It can be wrapped but I haven't seen any successful repair which looks any good, just buying a new pice of trim is the only real solution.
 
Might be worth posting a photo - not sure exactly what part you are referring to - could be a wrap job.
 
AS wondermike says repair to brushed aluminium not easy and will never match. Bes to wrap, paint body colour or find replacement OEM part.
