Hi all

A question for the stereo guys

I've linked up a Chelink CarElite (cheap aftermarket bluetooth unit) to my standard Business head unit

Powered and connects to phone all OK- and the connector attaches to where a CD changer would go

However I cant find 'aux' appearing as an option on mode, so despite being powered and allowing phone to connect, I cant find a way to make that input deliver sound

Any ideas? Assumed you can just add an aux device like I have on 2 other cars and it comes live?

Cheers

If it’s the same as the bluemusic setup, it will work on the CD changer mode of the stereo. Aux mode is for a 3.5mm adaptor

Thats what I thought/assumed

Will look again at the pin location as it may be wrong

Cheers

Also might be worth checking to see if the CD changer controls work correctly even if the audio doesn’t (i.e. skipping tracks on the phone through the HU/MFSW controls). Does CD changer mode even come up at all as you cycle through modes?

Similar to aux, CD changer should just appear as a mode you can cycle through when the Business head unit recognises one as being connected. Don’t believe one needs to have been present before, however might be worth checking the connections at the back of the HU as someone might have unplugged the CD changer cable to connect an aux in the past or something like that. In mine, the phone connector to the head unit had been removed for the aux by a previous owner…
