Probably 18s. What kind of price should I be paying for a decent set?

They are only available in 18s , many many sets of reps around which are generally 4 x 8j with et around 42/44
Genuine sets will be staggered so 8.5j rears & 8j fronts & ET 50 rears 47 fronts stamped on rear
Any off a Z4 or 3 series E46 will fit .
MV2s were also fitted to 5 series E60s , these have the wrong offsets for a Z4 & can easily be spotted as they are concave as opposed to flat faced
Prices ? All ballpark figures & jmo
Need refurb don't pay more than £200 for the set
Good condition with half decent tyres £350 max for the set
Alloys only freshly refurbed £350 no more than £400
Adjust above for reps by 10-20%

They are easily sourced from Gumtree & Ebay so you should have no trouble finding a set

Just been to look at a set on gumtree.
£220 not really in need of a refurb but not 100% tyres were legal but only just .
After 40 mile trip they were not original
Even though the ad said bmw wheels. :headbang: So I left them.
They are in Dewsbury if you are interested

Simple way before going any further is ask for the et numbers on all 4

Thanks all for the advice. There certainly does seem to be a lot of cheap copies around!

I wouldn't be put off with reps , they're not all cheap copies , you just need to be aware & know what widths & offsets are

Cheers. Unfortunately I don't have a great depth of knowledge on a lot of stuff. I'm someone car obsessed and prone to buying nice cars without knowing a whole load about how to maintain and work on.

I'm working on that but short term I probably need to stick to what I know :)
