aFe Stage 2 Cold Air Intake (E85/E86) - Now Reduced

I have recently removed my aFe cold air intake and gone back to stock, so it’s now up for sale! I’ve done barely 300 miles with it in. I wanted to stick it on here for a week or so at mates rates, before putting it up on Fb and all that.

Why is it for sale? The intake itself sounds fantastic, Way angrier and more growly than OEM. I didn’t record any drive by’s but I imagine it sounds so much better on the outside too. I personally just really missed the sound generator pipe in-cabin induction sound, which gets lost with this intake, as it doesn’t connect to the pipe. I’m a bit of a hooligan, so I have all the foam out, and for my own tastes I prefer the trade off of a growly sound at all times that this brings, for the ridiculousness that having the sound generator with no foam brings at about 4-5k rpm. However if you prefer foam in, and a more ‘refined’ sound, then this intake drastically improves the sound compared to OEM with no mods. it will also go really well with a fruity exhaust or backbox if you have that too (I don’t as of now).

I don’t have a photo of the actual item right now unfortunately, however it is what it is. It’s all assembled for you, as we took it off as one piece, so you will just need to attach it to your throttle body with the jubilee clip and off you go. I don’t have the original box unfortunately but I’ll box it up if you want me to post it.

The cheapest you can get it at currently looks like £550 from aFe, and that’s with the discounted price + shipping + tax.

Yours for £350

Cheers :)

Albeit with a different engine, I had an aFe intake on my ///M for about ten years and would recommend it.
Having swapped to a GruppeM recently, I miss the aggressive noise of the aFe intake. The GruppeM is a little muted and certainly no substitute, despite being twice the price.I’ve fitted a sound generator to my car in order to regain some of the induction roar I’m missing.

It does sound really good. It sounds way better than stock, and probably even better to those outside the car.

GruppeM is the one that appeals to me, as I believe it retains the stock intake housing and just connects to it, so sound generator remains. I've heard it's more muted than aFe too. Not cheap though

Bump  Anyone interested? Keen to get this off my hands as I don't have loads of space at the moment

Photo of it fitted...
