Finally got round to fitting AE's with thanks to a couple of members for donor units and CJ's advise on cutting lights (that was my main issue as I just couldn't bring myself to cutting open a perfectly good set of lights).
Just thought I'd share details of the kit I bought as they were marked as having 8000k lumens brightness and do seem super bright in the daylight/direct sunlight. I bought them from Danius who posted the how to on Bimmer Forum and is based in Ireland. They cost about £30 and when they arrived, first impressions was the packaging and quality looked very good. The key bits that I noticed was the quality of the inverters with CE marks and heat shrink on the commentators also the AE's had a silver backing on the diffusers so all the light is reflected outwards and for safety, clear plastic heat shield tubing on the live feeds of the AE's. If anyone is looking to buy some, the email address I have for him is [email protected]
