Aerospace 303

Having seen many people rave about this stuff, I splashed out on a bottle hoping to tidy up some of the faded trim/rubber around my car. At £15 a bottle it's not cheap so I was expecting great results, but having just given the car two treatments over 2 days I'm seriously disappointed with the stuff. It has left all of the rubber/plastic greasy and patchy, just like any other cheap s**t 99p 'back to black' does, which is why I usually don't bother with the stuff.

Anybody got any secrets to using this stuff, or is it just more rip-off junk?

I've never used that so can't comment directly there, as I use Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber care on the plaggy and rubber bits (works a treat) and I tend to spray mine onto an old microfibre cloth and then apply to the area being treated unless it's a large area (like the airbox) where I carefully spray directly to avoid getting it on glass etc, and then polish in. It's also quite cheap from the usual high street outlets at under £8.

I use Gummi Pflege on the door seals etc, but I find the AG stuff works just about as well there, too and I have 2 cars on GF, and 1 on AG as a sort of trial. The 13y/o car on AG-treated seals is still looking fabulous......and that's the one which takes/has taken most abuse. I use the AG Vinyl and Rubber on all 3 cars' plastics with fine results. Took plenty of trial and error with other products before I settled on these 2 as good VFM treatments which actually work!

I have just used Gummi on the rubber on my car... I wouldn't use the 303 on rubber, thought it was just for plastics ? I used it on my engine bay and wheel arches (after degreasing) during the summer and they came up brilliantly. Someone recently suggested that it also works wonders on the interior plastics as a finisher, but I haven't tried that yet.

I also use gummi on all the rubber on my car... Recently did the rubber around the roof too... Nice and shiney!
