Aero skirts on - New square clips needed

Finally got the aero skirts on. I know it sounds sacrilegious but I have to confess I'm not convinced that they are an improvement. May be it's because I have standard bumpers.

Also, I'm finding that the tops are not holding completely - are the square clips supposed to be single use? The mail parts (attached to skirt) don't seem to be gripped tightly by the females (in the sill).

Looking good there

When I re fitted mine, you have to remove the part still left in the sill and 're attach to the clip. Providing the parts in the sill don't get damaged when extracting them you should be fine. If not some new clips will solve the problem

They do.

Best way to get the clips out of the sill it to screw in a self tapper and then pull out with pliers.

These were pre-loved so unfortunately I didn't get the clips. I had a quick look on the internet and they look pretty expensive. I'll give BMW a call in the morning. It's funny - they came off so easily I didn't think they'd break but they definitely don't want to grip now. :x

Guess they're quite chunky then?

I bought a bag of 20 of the expanding rivets (part 5 above) for a couple of quid off ebay but the other part was nearly £2 each + postage etc. It's not exactly a fortune but I hate the idea of buying them in ones....
