Aero Skirt - part number and set confirmation

Neither of us paid the full whack for ours though, at £550 there are way better things you can do/put towards the car with that money. Hindsight and all that.

Not a must have IMHO, over rated. When I removed mine I wasn't disappointed with the stock look.

I don't think DonDP agrees with you!! Nor I, but then I guess you can speak from experience...can't say it's a horrible car without them though!

What he said! :-)

They do look nice but too expensive for the full job considering its a minor cosmetic tweak.

Don't forget guys, if you come to sell you will easily get 80% of the cost back by selling to another member - well if its not a rare colour

I would deliver in person for you bing :)

Ok, going in for the paint shop now.

Price was £175 + VAT for both painted. Sounds about right.

Do they know about your OCD, and will you be packing your magnifying glass for the collection ? :D

Just my paint detective meter :P

They will know about by OCD when I deliver the skirts, yes 8)

ah yes - good point about the paint detective. MK1 eyeball it is then :D

Going to Abbotts in Copthorne.

I would consider getting some film added to the rear of them, infront of the rear wheels.

I've covered about 10k miles since i got mine fitted in spring 2011 and they have a bit of a rash forming, especially on the lower bit under the bulge.

I will talk to them when I drop them off to see what they suggest. Obviously, I will have lost the teflon coating once I take my existing ones off so will get the rash then as well after a while.

They put the plastic on my new X5 as well from factory as the earlier models were suffering badly there. Does not look attractive, but better a plastic edge showing than a load of rash I guess ...

Have you used them before or had and references?

I'm looking to put some black Matt on mine at the back or maybe clear.

Not used them before but pass their shop thousands of times and from a distance, it always looks good. Secondly, the work shop looks tidy. Thirdly, it is a bit "off" my car, so I won't accept it until it is at my standards as there is no rush for me to collect it / fit it as such.

So ... what are you doing next weekend? :D
