https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/133349992628 Came across this tonight .......How much........????????

Whilst they do make a lovely and subtle difference, prices are just getting silly now.
Worse than the side top covers even

The right colour for me too!
Now the only type of mods I like are subtle ones; and these sills are very subtle. :)
But so subtle they're not worth a grand. Not to me at least.

They do make the car look much better, and the M should have had these from the factory. Given that you would have paid £400 unpainted and then about the same again to add to you car when new (and in plentiful supply), given you can't buy them now I think these are actually semi-sensibly priced.

I forget to say I think the right price would be around £800 for them, however I’m sure they will eventually go!

I paid £786 for mine including having them painted, they were a new set but readily available at the time. So I would say if your car is Sapphire Black and you want a set then these, although very expensive, are not unreasonably priced considering they are literally not available anywhere in the world! If these are the wrong colour and so you would need to get them resprayed to match your car, then if you can wait long enough, a set will possibly come up for around £800 and they will be available for about 5 minutes

I imagine collection only and the Corona virus probably has something to do with them still being available.

Personally I think the aero skirts really finish the car off and were certainly worth every penny I paid for them, but perhaps on a black car they wouldn't be as noticeable.

That sensible that no one has snapped them up after three weeks of being advertised!

I heard on the news that there is something happening over this past 3 weeks that has caught the public’s attention :tumbleweed:

i'd agree... i've sold some wheels and a mountain bike, but buyers have been unable to collect either due to lockdown.

depending on how things go in the next few weeks i might sorn the z4 as well, since that sale isnt going to happen any time soon either!

I can't imagine all sales on Ebay or other sales sites have ground to a halt for even larger items? As has been seen on the news not everyone is staying 100% locked down. I've got Aero skirts on my car and they could be considered an "essential purchase" (tongue firmly in cheek) :P Surely any buyer could probably agree a decent deposit to hold them if necessary. In some ways it might allow time to save up the money to complete after a couple of weeks? Who knows but they're hard to come by now..... and as others have said, the price isn't completely ridiculous considering what they've paid to get some on their motors..

I've had them on two different Zs , my own thoughts are they are a must have BUT very dependent on car colour  this might cause debate & discussion but i wouldn't bother on a dark blue or black car :o sorry mr H  the definition just gets lost unless you are close up so id have to question the cost for the very limited aesthetic change :? that said the cost is the relevant point , sub £500k many years back fair enough , £800/£1000 now just NO
On a silver , grey , imola or sepang car however they do look sublime , really enhancing the cars profile 8)

Oh yes 8)

They’re easily worth more than a set of CSL’s which might be a 2003 set with 100k’s of miles on them, but people seem ok to pay almost list price for a wheel you can still buy brand new from BMW....weird :headbang:

>edit for Angelus666  NO at £800-£1000 for a black car , most others where the cills are more noticeable then YES well worth the spend  <

Gen CSLs in mint order with decent brand rubber / £1300 ballpark . / a little more for Michelin , a little less for budgets

It's a difficult to judge CLSs and their life... I bought mine a forum member years ago, who'd bought them brand new from BMW and ran them for a year or so only if I remember rightly. Since then, I've put maybe 15K max on mine, May sound daft, but are they date stamped anywhere?

I’ll let you off.

I only paid just over £300 for mine so was a positive bargain and worthwhile at the time.

For £350 painted in IL Blue, mine were worth every penny. They absolutely complete the rear arches on a coupe. So much so, that I don’t think the asking price for these is excessive.
