Well probably the quickest project aside a stubby that I’ve done. Took less than 10 minutes per side to do (plus messing around photographing steps). In fact almost disappointing as I’d saved it to this morning.
My buddy sprayed the sills at his centre and knowing how I like the car laid several layers of paint and lacquer on them and machine finished the surface.
Decided to jack the rear end way up in the air to get some elbow room. Sills pop off by I bolt at the front, 1 screw at the rear 6 locking clips and around 6 pop in clips, so actually just a minute or so to get them off.
Bag of clips
I was surprised on a 7 year old Zed to see the inner sills looked as good as new, but OCD made me polish them a little
EDIT - a point for anyone following this as a guide is that the new clips come preassembled. In effect you get the bit that fits in the sill and the bit that clips in the car as one item. When you take the old sills off make sure you don't try to force assembled sets of clips into the sills if part is still left in the car. Take a look at the shot of the sill and you'll see the rear 2 both parts came out the rest just a half of it.!!!!
The new sills need a gasket clipping on along it’s length and clips slotting into the inner face. One word of caution is the new clips come as a 2 part so you have to either split them or pull ther part in the sill out.
Once offered up it’s simply a case of fastening the bolt at the front and screw at the rear, clipping it into the inner sill all along and then locating the clips underneath. I tapped the locking pins in with a hammer .
Rear fixings
Gasket fitted neatly inside door
Really is simple to do.
I leave it for you to judge, but these quick shots of before and after make me realise this simple modification adds dramatically to the look and lines

And not the most stunning location, but show the wonderful lines that now seem to really work:
