by all means try if you like, but unfortunately like you insurance is likely to stop me - IAM Surety apparently don't like such modifications as it goes against the principles of the IAM :o
 
It is strange how the insurance company can not differentiate between a "body kit", i.e. the full works, and something as subtle as this.

If I had ordered it with the car at the time, it would have had no impact on insurance at all. Strange.
 
Some can :thumbsup: Tbh if you plan on modifying it's best to go with someone who will not be bad on mods, so AF, HIC, elephant to a degree and there are quite a few others. And strangely when I was with tesco and had my Supra, they said I could do anything up to £1000 cosmetic mods without any extra to pay. They were not very clear how ever to what they class as cosmetic mods I.e badges or body kits, who knows :lol:

AF are more than accommodating to me though :)

Plus side skirts :roll: who would ever notice (awaits to get flamed once again :rofl: )

As per pvr I'd also prefer to apply the paint rather than shipped by a carefully handled courier. Of course I'm sure Joe/ BMW would use copious amounts of wrap and a carton.

Very subtle mod but once you've put them on it's another reason to look back & smile at the car :thumbsup:
 
cant wait until the non-aero skirts you have all stripped off appear on ebay? they will be worth about a tenner!
 
I've asked Joe to quote on the unpainted too. Hopefully whether or not they're painted won't affect the overall pricing for everyone. Anyway, I'll get back when I hear anything!

Still waiting for Joe to get back to me as some people wanted to get un-painted sides. So far we have 7 people committed. Not much use unless we get at least 10, preferably of course 20 is the target to hit but I can only do so much!
 
I'd say count me as #8 but I might be getting screwed over with renewing my road tax. They have quite the complicated system for imported cars through the US military over here. I'm looking at anywheres between 3 days and 3 weeks to get my tax disk. Also they don't have anything in place to #1 warn us that it takes so long....and #2 a temporary tax disk to use until the new one comes in. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
