Aero Kit...

Washed the car this weekend.. First time in 5 weeks I'm embarassed to say and noticed that on the drivers sill, about an inch from the bottom is a big scratch.. Its about six inches long and it has gouged the plastic.

Not sure what has caused this but it's definately not me that's done it or the mrs as she hasn't driven it without me in the car :D

Anyway, this has got me thinking. Rather than have the existing skirts re-painted (I would do both as they are both starting to suffer from some rashing) I would maybe look at upgrading to the aero skirts.

Now looking on MStyle web site, they want £300 for the skirts + £172 to have them painted (total £472). But I can buy the full aero kit which includes front bumper, skirts and rear apron for £680.00 which includes painting.

So my initial thoughts are would it make sense to buy the full kit and then sell on the front bumper and rear apron on here to someone who wants them and potentially recover costs that would make the skirts cheaper than £472..

Question is would anyone be interested in the bumper and rear apron and how much would they sell for?

Not sure if it comes with a full rear bumper. Think it's just the apron bit. If it's anything like fitting mine you just have to cut the bumper to fit it.

All depends on prices I would get and whether its worth doing it though?
 
Why don't you get a price for the full kit without painting.

You can then sell on the unwanted bits, brand new and primed and get the sideskirts painted locally for no more than £100.

My local guy did them for £75 to a real high standard

This would be my first choice but it says on their web site that the kit comes colour coded to the vehicle only..

I have emailed them anyway asking for clarification.
 
Hi JDM yes im interested in the front bumper, i wonder if they will paint each part different at the same price? or i dont mind getting it fitted n painted locally. pm me to let me know costs etc.

But it depends on how soon you looking to sort yours out?
Currently moving house on the 3rd of January and everyone wants money off me, and then some, lol.
Im not sure it would go down to well with the misses if i bought a bumper this week :?
