Aero front end to finish off the front

Looking very well that ! Nice mods. You just need a Sterling hardtop for the winter to complete the look.

Thanks,

I'm on the look out for one, is it a straight forward buy and fit or do I need a fitting kit?

Didn't even think about that color as it looks much closer to gold in this picture:

It's a really beautiful color!

Definitely no gold tinge to my colour, I think thats a bad camera or photo editing as the true colour of mine is as it looks in my pictures

Well after my marathon of work I carried out last week to take my car from this when I bought it:

To this:

I had on my too do list an exhaust job and possible Alpina front lip or Aero front end and after Kis gave me a link to a used Aero front bumper in my colour I decided to pursue that option but after discussing with the seller I found the bumper was in need of a full work over due to bad repairs and damage and also he was selling the 3 grills separately so that took the total to £260 plus a 10 day delivery time so this made me enquirer with the dealer only to find there price to me (trade) was only £310 inc vat and it came with the grills and a new front badge so with that I snapped the last in the UK stock up and had it delivered yesterday to me and after speaking with my spray shop guys I found our booth wouldn't be free till end of next week so I decided to mask up my gym again and spray it in there last night:

Hung and ready to go:

Sprayed and lacquered:

So this morning I collected it from my home and took it into work to get it all fitted and while I was at it I decided to buy a set of gloss black grills and with the log book arriving I transferred my private plate across:

All parts switched across and fitted up, side by side comparison:

All done and looking great:

One good thing came of my messaging with the chap selling the used and abused front end Aero bumper on ebay and that is I paid for the Aero rear apron which he's posting out for me tomorrow and a bonus it's the same colour and in great condition which is perfect as the dealer informed me it's no longer available so only used ones can be bought.
Hi what did you use to fix rear spoiler did you have to do much prep work on it mine has holes along the seam and how did you hang it to spray lots of questions i know sorry

The spoiler is only a cheap copy it only cost £60 that said it's good quality and fits well and its held down with Sika Flex used in body shops to hold things on cars so they never come off again.

Hanging wise I was spraying in my outdoor gym a big 12 x12 wooden workshop I had built so I just used car masking sheet to mark off the room and screwed screws into the beams and used garden wire to hang it off, my spoiler I used an old ironing board to hold the spoiler with well placed screws up through from the bottom (part used to bond to the car) to raise it off the ironing board to be able to spray the underside.
