advise please!

Rear one I would suspect. The tension you apply to the roof might crack it.

You shouldn't be applying any tension to replace a non-structural panel that's only held in with mastic tape/foam.

how would a ruby black coupe look with a carbon roof? i'd be worried it would just look like a mismatched paint job, white and red cars look awesome with carbon roof but ive never seen a black car with one or at least never noticed.

Think it would look good - and fairly unique

Front window, the guy said that the "BMW" approved way is to take the front window out as something needs to go under the window to seal it correctly. I said that photos provided by you guys didn't show that the window needs to come out and asked is it not just a panel his answer was to keep warranty they need to do it this way. He quoted the price of the panel to be 370 and 150 fir paint. So I guess replacing seals is the most expensive bit along with man hours!!

£520? So the rest is labour.

Jesus.

Sorry to hear about it. A right stroke of bad luck.

The only warranty I can think of that applies to the roof panel would be the the anti-corrosion warranty, and maybe the warranty on a new roof lining?

I'd be tempted to try another bodyshop.

Anyway, here's a quick photo of my attempt at a carbon roof on a ruby black coupé.

When i had my cooper S, i was told that if i had the garage door or something go down on the roof and cave it in so to speak like yours, and i had to claim, then the car would be a right off!
They told me this when i took the extra insurance out :|
Your lucky as really as you have pannels but i think it will be costly!

n'aww.. shame you guys can't do that to your roofs permanently like we can.. z4 targa anyone?

sorry to see the damage.. but it probably looks worse than it is.
