Mack: Re-fuel on these big 3.0 straight sixes, I just cannot believe what these girls do to the gallon, I admit whole heartedly that I drive like Miss Daisy [62mph down the A14 & never over 70mph, change gear at 2500 rpm.....I just love the lazy grunt of these big sixes] and my computer says 40.3mpg even allowing for 'computer error, high 30's & low 40's is astounding!

My 3.0si has done 42mpg on the trip computer on a few long trips driving slow. But on average 30mpg all in which is fine for 265bhp or whatever they are!

Nothing worse than a thread getting totally swamped by silly arguments over absolutely nothing. Would you two honestly stand in front of eachother and talk this utter rubbish? In reality, no. It annoys me when threads get daft like this, expect it of someone OP's age ( no offence OP ), but not from two who clearly have been on forums for a fair bit of time and should by now be beyond this. Its boring, off topic, uninteresting and a tad sad!! get a grip!!!

Back on topic.

And the awesome thing about the pre-facelift cars is they come with a complete wiring loom so adding extras is easy. And the pre-facelift doesn't have the silly 'emergency/pre brake priming' thing, so you get a consistent brake pedal.
The 2.2 is a lovely engine too :-) it doesn't have to be all about engine size and BHP, it's the nut holding the wheel that counts...
Thumbs up OP! :-)
