advice regarding spare tyres and alloys

Hello all, I'm after a spot of advice. I have a spare set of alloys and wheels from when I changed the alloys to 108s on my Zed, these have been standing in the corner of our flat since, and the continued disgruntled comments from my girlfriend have spurred me into action.

I was going to keep them to use as winter wheels to protect the 108s but with one thing and another never got round to swapping them and as winter should soon be receeding I think I might sell them on instead.

Now the quandry...

the wheels are 17" (103 I think) and don't have a great second hand value but the tyres are nearly new Michelin PS2s with 7-8mm tread all round! They were only on the car for 6/52 before i swapped alloys! Should I try to sell as a unit or seperate and sell.

I have no experience of second hand tryes and don't know if there is much of a market. All opinions would be welcome as the missus is getting impatient. She seems to be doing this :headbang: a lot in reference to the (rather nice IMHO) "feature" in the corner of our living space

Cheers guys

how much were you thinking of for the sale of the wheels and tyres? what condition are the rims in?

Come across quite a few people who don't buy new tyres but buy another set of wheels with decent tyres on them. Especially E36 drivers it seems.

So, why not try the on ebay with a reserve you are happy with, rims need to be in good nick to get best price.

If tyres were winter or track ones then they'd sell separately quite well I'd guess.

If you can split them yourselves you'd probably fetch more as the tyres can be fitted to various cars while the wheels have limited fitment.
