Advice please

Looks nice just from the photos. Shame someone stole the majority of the aerial though. :poke:
I like the colour of the wheels. Something a little different with a white car.
The interior looks nice too, but you'd be busy keeping it clean. :D
Did you get a drive in it?
MOT history says it has had a cracked rear wheel? Do you know if it was repaired or replaced?

I think the DCT box must be one of the best BMW have made, it’s an absolute pleasure to drive and when in sport and manual mode is very quick.

I have heard this many times but I wonder how reliable they are because if they go wrong they are very costly to fix.

Tbh when mine broke I trawled the net and didn't find many examples of broken ones. In my experience it appeared costly to fix because dealers just chuck parts at the thing called out by their diags.

This is true, main dealers won't repair things like gearboxes they just replace complete components so the actual repair can be much less if the car is taken elsewhere. I once bought an automatic Golf just over 3 years old and just out of warranty with only 30k miles and the gearbox was slipping. I thought I try my luck with VW and took it to my local dealer who told me that they would have to replace the box at a cost of some 1800 GBP but they would contribute to that since the car was just over 3 years old but still the repair cost came to around 1200 GBP. In the end I took it to a gearbox specialist and they repaired it for 600 GBP! I guess a good gearbox specialist would know just how reliable these boxes are sadly the one I used to use in London are no longer around, probably retired now I think.

Wheel was replaced. What is wrong with the Aerial?

If you look through the forum you'll see there's an ongoing battle between modernists who think small is better (maybe a social comment in there somewhere :D ) and those of us with respect for heritage who retain the original whippy as BMW intended.

BMW realised their mistake and that's why they offered the revised shorter aerial for anyone who wanted to rectify this situation. :poke:

Oh no, what have you started?

I believe this started long before I joined the forum. :D
No harm in throwing a bit of fuel in every now and then though.

Call it aerial warfare.

And there I was, innocently changed my aerial long before coming across this forum and realising there's some kind of war going on!
