Advice please 89ers

Hi Guys and girls
Some advice please, my brother is looking at buying an e89, now while i know about the 85 and 86 i know little about 89s. He is no petrol head and just wants a summer toy, so to that end what are the things to look out for on an 89?

Roof and knackered alloys seem to be the main problems I've read about on here but never suffered anything major myself :?
 
Thanks for that metal licker, he did look at one yesterday but walked away as the alloys were in a shocking state apparently.

Cracked 19 inch alloys on inner rim, front and especially rear.

other than that, both of mine have been pretty good. 135k faultless miles from my old 3.0 e89.
