Advice On Z4MC

Sorry but the roadsters just don't float my boat. They just aren't as nice to look at if you ask me, though i imagine top down straight six goodness in your ears is fun.
 
The thing is with your position is that your gonna put big miles On in 2 years..

So even if you buy a 50k miles car (which will be quite expensive) you are gonna rinse all the value out of it if you try and sell at around 100k mark..

I would probably buy a non cat car irrespective of mileage but go cheap as possible..

Oh i totally agree.... :thumbsup:

I was just trying to say a few facts... What i meant to say in a roundabout fashion was that in no real use paying over the odds for a minty low miler when your going to pile miles on it..

I take my hat off to you lot who do big miles with that gearbox as I only did a few thousand in mine as a weekender and I just wanted to smash the gearbox to pieces every time I drove it!

Problem is I still really lust after a Z4MC really bad as I just love the shape sooo much... so I would just have to turn a blind eye to the gearbox I think. :D
 
After my CDV delete and Amsoil MSF oil change,the gearshift is much like any other car now..

I wouldnt mind a new ZHP illuminated gearknob though...
 
As already echod that type of budget is a good roadster. My experience with CAT cars having seen them being repaired in various forms is to stay away but each to their own.

This is a good point ... buy a bargain regardless ... rage it around , smash a load of miles on it ... never worry about deprecation as you never paid top dollar for ... heck go filmper spec! :D
 
I think all the 6 speed where the same basic box with different gear sets in..

The reason the 1-2 gearchange can be notchy is because it has a triple syncro..

In that case a Storm knob will be on order, completely transformed the box on my E46.
 
Ps. Doubt the gearbox is exactly the same...it is slightly notchy at low speed but irons out nicley at spqeed!
