Hi Guys

Just after some advice regarding the two road bikes we own, we used to get out quite often myself and the Mrs but since are daughter has come along they have become redundant to be fair. So we thinking of changing to some cross over style ones as there a little bit more "family friendly".

We purchase are new bikes and within weeks found out the Mrs was Pregnant just after deciding to change both are bikes doh! So ended up getting hardly any use as a result!

So I have got two almost new road bikes and no real idea of value, I know a few guys on here are in the "know" so was after some guidance at what value I should advertise these at?

I've no idea on second hand values, but if they need a place to stay and be tested, then my place is fine, especially the Bianchi, I like the colour scheme.

I just sold a road bike, a $2200 Devinci , got $600 for it at 9 yrs old. with low low use...... do you have Kijiji over in the UK? I found hundreds on our Kijiji to get an idea of value. Also, try finding the new price for an equivalent item and go 75% .... good luck

Mmm not sure your fit mate, I think you would need a much larger frame 54/56? , lol but your welcome to come and look .. Seeing you are within throwing distance! :D

Any relation between the purchase of the bikes and the pregnancy? :?

Nah been riding for about 2 years before and just upgraded them .... Nothing me and Mrs Paza liked more than going for a ride on a summers day on a quite cycle path!

I reckon about £650-£700 for the Bianchi, they can still be had new for around £900.
Maybe about £400 for the Trek, they are around £500 new.

But expect a bit less.
Stuart, the 52cm is way to small for you. You'd need 58-60cm and would ideally need to be fitted by a good local bike shop if you are all leg !

6'2 but mostly leg length so would need to check ideal sizes etc.

It's not like you're miles away to take a look :)

in fairness if you have a higher than normal leg : height ratio a smaller frame with the seat up higher would probably be suitable - go for the right seat tube length for your leg length and the top tube will overstretch you...either that or try a ladies' specific frame....! joking aside I have the same issue, longer legs than usual for my height, makes suits and bikes a pain.

i reckon a 60cm would be too big, road bikes are mostly sized down a little now with sloping top tubes.

First just a comment on the pic of the trek, but the handlebar tape including the blue bit scream more than 250 mile use and not just dry miles. Put some new bar tape on before you sell it. It will only cost £20. The bianchi is better but tape is still dirty and doesn't look like 200 dry miles to me. Not saying your wrong just the pictures don't back it up which will put off a buyer.

Once you've sorted the tape / pictures I'd suggest trying the classifieds on bikeradar's forums.

Good point been stored for over a year I get the tape sorted had not attempted to clean the tap yet so might come up ok? Thanks for the heads up :)
