Advice on treating paint scratches

I've never tried it yet, but I suppose the way to look at is that if the panel has such bad scratches already then you can't make it much worse!! :thumbsup:

ok so with the DA polisher - would using megs ultimate compound be too much for using all over the car to remove swirls and scratches at once? or should I use something like swirlx all over the car to remove swirls, then ultimate compound to remove any light scratches? then polish, then wax ofcourse.
 
o and one other thing - if Im moving from cutting polish to fine or wax, do I need a clean pad for each type of polish I use or can you use the same pad if thats the type of pad I need?
