Advice on sound system

I am in the process of looking for a zed one of the things I have read a lot is the stock sound system is rubbish and the upgrades are ok but depends on what you like.

So I am presuming I am going to have to update it when I get it.

Now the bit I am unsure of is which is easier to upgrade a stock system or an already upgraded system. I have noticed there isn't a lot around in my price range with the sound system upgrades. (Well saying that I could have has a Auto Coupe 07 with basically all the spec boxes ticked for 9k had high miles 120k. I hesitated because it was an auto won't make that mistake again :S)

Any advice is appreciated

For truly superior sound, you need a wholesale system replacement, so it doesn't matter what's in there. The base system may be missing mid range door speaker wiring, which you may choose to not use anyway. The top level amp and subs are incompatible with any after market hardware so is least desirable for partial upgrade schemes.

This was sort of what I was thinking save cash buying the zed then and do a complete upgrade
