Advice on selling price for my z4m...help!

Alright guys,
I am considering selling my z4m roadster to purchase an e92 m3, i am apprehensive about it as i adore the z4m but i also have a vx220 turbo for summer and its appreciating faster.
I have been offered 12k for the car, i would like peoples opinions on what they believe the cars value is:
Z4m roadster
silver/black
06 plate
65k
full service history, part bmw part independent
i am the 7th owner so high ownership
body work is in mint condition, the lower part of the front spoiler has stone chips in places though
the inside of the car is in great condition with the only real sign of wear being on the drivers side seat, but nothing major
heated leather seats
parking sensors
next service which is an oil service is due in june along with mot
front tyers have 5mm left on them
rear tyers are near enough new
discs and pads will need changing within 12 months
the alloys i have on the car are not the originals either, i have apex arc 8's on

if anybody could advise me on the sale price it would be greatly appreciated as i am conflicted about the sale offer of 12k.
thank you in advance

Do we take it, the price you've been offered - is from a Dealer, or a Private buyer? Either way, £12K seems a bit low - IMHO :|

However, the non-standard wheels might not help - albeit there's value in the ones on the car also

Pending oil service & Mot in 2 months time being due, might not be helping the price you've been offered?

GLWTS..

£12,000 is a fair price considering the mileage.

You could probably get £13,000 tops.

Discs and pads (assuming all round) adds a £1K to the imminent spend. Going on what two members got from theirs at dealers recently I'd say £12k is about right for private sale with what needs doing.

Having said that, as it’s the vert, you’re probably best selling it in summer as you’ll get more for it...

1 more thing.

If you still have the original wheels you might be better off selling the Apex wheels separately.

As you’ll probably be aware, sourcing brand new Apex wheels from the States is expensive and hassle (due to stocklists etc). A decent set of Apex’s with good tyres + wear will sell easily amongst BMW circles.

good point...

P.S. I, for one, could be interested in the Apex wheels :)

The e92 M3 will be a bit of disappointment compared to the Z its pretty much the opposite in every way.

They feel heavy and big, lackluster when pootling around or as use as a daily. They dont really sing unless you are gunning it all the time but the rev line is so high your destroying the speed limit when you do.

The engine is a masterpiece what surrounds it is not. On the positive side 5 seats a big boot and the noise are all great qualities. Always much preferred the E46 like a go cart in comparison. The Z is like a more ragedy on the edge E46 and far rarer unless you need the space i would give it a skip.

It's silver , boggo spec and needs imminent work

At £12k I would be taking the deal

Quickly !!!

I would say that is bang on 12k seems very fair to me.

Is that a dealer offer or private offer by the way?

Move it on. These cars aren't done depreciating yet, and life's too short. If you decide to jump back in later, you will be able to pick another up and if you time it right, make some money on it as they begin to appreciate. In the meantime you can have some fun with your £12k - which seems a fair price for (no disrespect intended) an averagely spec'd car needing some imminent spend....

£12k seems like a good offer on a trade....but depends on what the cost of change is on the car you're buying? Do you have a link to it? I like the 92, it's a good looker in competition spec form, makes a great noise and the ride is a lot better than the Z4.

Plus factor in what a few tyre kickers/no show/joyriders/ your time/another months tax etc is worth to you to perhaps secure a few extra hundred quid.

Might be worth the Agro, it might not.

its a private sale matey, buying the e92 cash towards the end of summer, I have a vx220 turbo also for my summer drives out, and even though I would say the z4m is overall a superior car the vx220 is appreciating at a rapid rate.

yes you're correct, but i do believe if I sold it in june/july I would get more for it, but I would then need to be paying for the service and mot and as you say more road tax so thats going to cost a few hundred extra quid. Although I think if I was in the market to buy a z4m with just 65k on the clock I would struggle to get one for less that 13k. Will be gutted to see it go, but will be worth it when I get a good example of the e92 m3

If you don't need the car and the private sale is a secure sale, i.e. you know the buyer, it would be best to get shot now and not have the expense of other items going wrong between now and a few months.

yes I believe the sale is secure plus its going to a z4m enthusiast so It will be looked after which is is a bonus. My z4m has been faultless throughout its ownership though.

Main extras:

- PDC
- Heated seats
- Pro logic HIFI
- Folding / dimming mirrors
- Extended leather
- Cruise control
- Aero skirts
- Blue Tooth

Missing the NAV means missing:

- Phonebook on screen
- Music on screen
- Extra board computer functions.
- Integration option with iPhone with Intravee via screen

unfortunately the car didn't have the stock wheels on when I bought it which is why the I bought the apex arc 8, however it was a simple transaction from a company called baanvelgen in the Netherlands, took 4 weeks to arrive without any issues.
